Yeah Dan. I’ve seen iPhones dropped on the ground and I can assure you, the sound is not nice and the aftermath is even worst. You don’t want that to happen to your iPhone for sure.
By reading your article Peter it proves that we really should take good care of our I-phones because it is so much sensitive, and it is not shock proof. once it fell it doesn’t sounds good because you think its a broken mirror, i hope that one day I-phone companies will think about a solution for example making I-phone shock resistant.
Yeah Kate, the iPhone is a very fragile device. You wouldn’t like the sound of it falling on to the ground trust me.
I know so many people with broken Iphones, mostly cracked screens. And replacing the screen is quite expensive.So if you are planning on buying an Iphone I would suggest you only buy it if you know you will have enough money to replace the screen when it breaks.
I still have the old Samsung Galaxy S, and I’ve dropped it twice. Both times the back case and the battery jumped out, but it still worked fine, just have some minor scratches and a really small tear in the back cover which is barely visible.
I do suggest not to use your phone when going to the toilet. Many people dropping their phone in the toilet for some reason. I don’t think that’s very good for it, and it’s disgusting to say the least.

It’s weird, I use the Droid X, but my girlfriend has an iPhone 4G, and for some reason her phone just seems so much more susceptible to damage than my Droid. I’m in no way saying it’s a superior product, but I seem to beat the hell out of mine and it manages to still look fresh out of the box, while she has dropped her’s a total of three times and it looks like it’s been through a war. I wasn’t even aware you could buy replacement parts for the phone, so I’m glad I happened upon this article. Thanks for the tips Peter!

Interesting and helpful tips that I am sure, I am going to need it one day with my iPhone, although it has never gave me some problems yet LOL.
The thing is, iPhone is more expensive than my previous phones, so once I would have problem with it, I would try my end best to fix it.
I am also more careful with it, than with my old phones.

I know quite a few people that will just continue using it no matter how it is damaged if they can get it to function. Personally I would get some new parts and fix it if possible but If I can’t the thing would just go straight to the trash.
