Samsung’s next-generation smartphone, the Galaxy S3, is bursting with exciting features and specifications. Aside from the 4.8-inch Super Amoled HD display, the Android 4.0.4 Operating System and the 1GB RAM that tech bloggers have already raved about, here are a few other useful things about it. I’ve singled out the 4 features that I like about the Samsung Galaxy S3:
Pop Up Play
This feature allows you to multitask – you can launch other apps while viewing a video. Once the Pop-up Play button is pressed, the video on play will reduce itself to a thumbnail-sized inset you can move around on the screen. You can then check an incoming text message, tweet, log into Facebook or do other things – without having to stop your watching.

Burst shot / Best photo
The 8MP camera has super-fast response speed, capable of taking 6 frames per second. It captures up to 20 consecutive shots at a time. The software can also pick out the best picture out of 8 shots.

Direct Call
Making a call has never been easier with the Direct Call feature. All you have to do is find the contact in your address book and hold the S3 to your face – no need to hit “call” – and the number will be dialed instantly.
S-Beam
The Samsung Galaxy S3 offers high-speed file transferring capabilities with NFC and WiFi Direct. S3 users can conveniently exchange files at a speedy 300Mbps. A 10MB file can be transferred in a few seconds, and a 1GB movie takes a quick three minutes. Simply hold two phones back-to-back until the connection is recognized, and the file is transferred automatically.
One minor letdown of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is its appearance. For all the thrill generated by its specs and features, reviewers aren’t exactly praising its design. The tapering plastic exterior combined with the lightness of the handset could make it seem a bit cheap. The interface is actually not bad – touching the screen triggers a ripple effect and a water-drop sound, which is quite amusing; although you can imagine how some people might find that annoying.
Overall (if you don’t mind the feel of plastic) the Samsung S3 is an amazingly brilliant device. It’s intuitive, multitasking and loaded with highly useful features.

These are great features indeed, but what I think Ill like the most is the ability to charge wireless. I seriously hate plugging and unplugging my phone when charging as I always misplace my wires and have to turn the house inside out before i can find it.
Wireless charging still needs a special charger that is sold separately and the charger still needs to be connected to a power point. Basically this technology only removes one wire, agree? Furthermore, wireless charging has poor efficiency. Meaning it takes longer to charge a battery with wireless charging and I don’t really fancy this one. Thanks for the comment Adeline.
I guess that I don’t mind asthetics of this one because it is laden with enough features to make me happy. 1GB of ram? how cool is that?

Yes i really love some features but Its hardware part is really not too good.

Yea Amit, that’s the only thing I don’t like about the S3. But luckily it has so many good features to compensate on that.
I was a bit disappointed by the screen though. I mean Amoled is cool. But I liked the rumor that it wouldn’t have pentile pixels…. but it does. again.
I really love samsung but I dislike their screens color over-saturation. It’s a bit too fake.
Other things that I love about this phone are the Smart stay feature. Where the phone follows your eyes and stays active as long as you look at it. So you don’t have to keep on turning on the screen when you try to read something.
Face recognition is really cool of course.
S beam is really great and all share cast is exactly what I was waiting for. Hdmi cables are soooo 2011 🙂

Well my friend has this kind of Samsung phone and he told me it is one of the best phones he ever had.. I guess I have to get my own too..
The Samsung Galaxy S3 will only available in the market on May-29. Maybe your friend has a Samsung Galaxy Nexus instead, which looks almost similar to the S3 in terms of design and it’s also a nice phone.

I’m using the “previous version”. Although the S3 is truely superb but I still love my S2 and will keep using it for another 2 years. Just can’t afford to keep changing things so soon if you know what I mean 😛

It’s very difficult to tell the exact price of the S3 in different markets in the world. But it’s expected to be around $799.
I prefer cell phones having excellent sound quality. hope for the same from samsung galaxy s3.
I think you forget S voice, which is a SIRI like app..
I don’t fancy that feature at all thanks to SIRI. I tested the SIRI on the iPhone 4S and it was terrible. It failed to recognize our local English accent. Makes me no confidence in S Voice too.
Galaxy S3 has been one of most fascinating phones, it was this phone of my friend that attracted me and made me purchase galaxy s4.
I’m a fan of the galaxy series smartphones. Been using The S2 for a while and I’m still considering whether to buy The S4 or not.
