tp-link wireless routerWhenever anyone buys a new computer, he/she becomes excited to start working on it. However, it is not a simple process to just take out the PC set out of the packed boxes, switch it on and it is ready for you to operate on it. You need to link all the equipment and set it up. Same way, a home router also needs the similar kind of setting up. You need to connect it to a network and do the hardware settings. Although, it is not a very demanding task, but it is not simple either.

These days the companies are doing their best to make the set up easy and simplified to organize network equipment and their accessories even for the individuals with no technical background. They provide menus with clear instructions on how to put together the hardware and connect it to the network.

Nowadays, while most new routers are marked with color codes, several others have labeled ports, to make it convenient for the user to set them without any hassles. In fact, there are manufacturers who take one step further and offer pre-configured routers, and you just need to set them synchronically with the network with basic directions. In Addition, the configurations of the latest wireless routers in 2017, such as Google Wi-Fi, are an incredibly easy process and provide quick and smooth application based set up.

If you have a cable/fiber modem, it is easy to connect to the net provided by your ISP without much issue. But, in that case, the internet accessibility will be limited to one device or one user only. For internet connectivity amongst other devices, you need to install a TP-Link router and connect it to the Cable/fiber modem.

The internet service provider in your area gives you a static IP address. To connect your PC to a TP-Link router, you have to configure the local IP address of your PC. For this, you can seek information regarding the set up from the “How do I install TP-Link wireless router to link to a Modem for static IP address” manual.
