Google updated PR on February 06, 2012 and ComputerHowToGuide.com which was previously PR1 is now PR2.
Nothing to be proud of here as PR2 is very common. This domain is very new and there are much work needed to be done here.
Many of the pages in this blog have got either PR1 or PR2 in this latest Google PR update. There’s one particular page which is PR3 and that’s Smartphone Users Fake Out Their Own Senses. I have no clue of why this page is PR3, any idea?

Congratulations, Peter! Your blog really looks promising. It won’t be too long for you to achieve PR3. I enjoy reading fresh and informative write ups from your blog.
Thanks for the compliment Bhing. Keep visiting 🙂
Awesome that your site moved up in Pagerank. Mine have been up and down over the years I can’t even remember what all I had for Pagerank. I still prefer traffic, but I’ll take Pagerank if they are going to hand it out.
I would prefer traffic as well. I see many sites with high PR but no traffic, what’s the point right? But it’s always nice to see a PR increased. Nice to hear from you Ray 🙂
Hi Peter, Technology Bloggers stayed at a 3, and pretty much all the rest of my sites stayed the same.
It is very interesting that your article ‘Smartphone Users Fake Out Their Own Senses’ has a PageRank of 3, how many incoming links does Google think it has in Webmasters Tools?
Onwards and upwards – not that PageRank is really anything to be bothered about, showing up in the SERPs however, that is!
Yeah I’m curious of why that page is PR3, it has less than 50 incoming links. I have pages with more than 1000 incoming links but still PR2. I couldn’t agree with you more that SERP is the thing that we should be focusing on, we shouldn’t be too obsessed with PR. But an increased is always nice. Thanks for the comment Christopher.
my blog on blogspot was pr 1. after google update still pr1 🙁 sad 🙁
Your rank was increased. Congrats
Thanks Trung. No need to be sad, just keep building more links by blog commenting and guest posting, it’ll go up.
That’s glad to hear and congrats for the hard work. I got PR3 and this is the time to keep up the ranking and go forward.
Congrats for getting PR3 on your blog Pavan, you must have been working hard for it.
That’s great Peter ! Congrats !
Hey Peter, look like Google running another update now.
Yea Tan. Hope your sites are doing well.
Hey Peter Congratulation for PR-2. Not for home page lol… its for this article itself 🙂
Best of luck for next pr.
Hope you will able to achieve PR-5 This time.
LOL…, thanks Amit!
The higher your page rank gets, the harder it is to move it up to the next level. That’s why many sites hover around the PR 3-4 without moving on from this. Good quality links in from sites with higher page ranks and relevant content should help you move in the right direction.
